Honda CX500A - I bought this in 2005 already partly restored, the frame had been powder coated and the engine totally stripped down, the cases bead blasted and new cam chain and Mechanical seal fitted.
Shortly after buying the bike I searched the internet for info on this model and soon came across a club called CX-GL M.C.C, I joined up and was soon amazed at what an friendly and helpful bunch of people these were and still are today. I first had it repainted and due to bad tick over and always cutting out I changed the carbs, since then its been an ongoing process, new fork stanchions, adding a luggage rack which I had rechromed, I then managed to source an original front mudguard which I also had rechromed, then on my way home from the 2008 National Rally, the mechanical seal failed after only 5000 miles which then led me to replace rear engine cover for a later type with larger mechanical seal bore and on it goes...

Last year, 2009, was a proud moment when I managed to get the "Best Bike" "Del Horne Trophy" at the Buxton National
